Major Kenji
Phoenix Squad, formation Delta-Seven. Main reactor is ahead. Akira has point; hold your spacing and stay out of his crossfire.
Ensign Asami
Quiet channel all week, then this foundry starts answering its own drones. I do not like machinery that learns who is listening.
Ensign Yusuke
I ran the odds on 'adapting drone signals' before we launched. Didn't love the number. Bringing it up anyway, because somebody should.
PILOT
Copy. We clear the route, scan the core, and get out before this rust heap decides to fall on us.
Lieutenant Nakamura
This foundry is off the official maps. Drones have been stripping it for weeks, but their signals are adapting. Find out why something is protecting scrap.
Major Kenji
Stay sharp. Whatever is in there is not ours, and it is not Aurora's either.

After floor 1· beat 2

Sergeant Yuki
Contact high-left. Three drones now, with a larger cluster moving around the cooling towers.
Lieutenant Akira
They learned from the first exchange. I will draw them wide. Keep the line and do not let them reach Yuki's flank.
Major Kenji
Bulwark has the center. New pilot, cover Akira's retreat. If those cutters breach formation, we lose the corridor.
PILOT
On you, Major. Phoenix holds here.

After floor 3· beat 3

Ensign Asami
Whoa. Okay, that alloy signature is NOT scrap-yard standard. I'm reading lattice patterns I've never seen outside a Zenith textbook rumor.
Major Kenji
Get a sample and get out. If someone is guarding tech this advanced, they will notice we were here.
PILOT
This was not a cleanup run. Whatever made this alloy was here before us.
Major Kenji
And now Phoenix has the evidence. Good work. Do not make me repeat it.

Ensign Asami
new op chat! naming rights go to whoever survives the first floor. Yusuke, place your bets now
Ensign Yusuke
I never bet on outcomes I have not modeled. Give me forty minutes and a whiteboard.
Major Kenji
Comms discipline, both of you. This is a live channel, not the mess hall.
Sergeant Yuki
transferred in yesterday and already being told off. good sign, right?
Lieutenant Nakamura
Yuki, welcome to Phoenix. Kenji yells at everyone equally. It is load-bearing affection.

After floor 1· beat 2

Ensign Yusuke
Whiteboard math says this foundry should not have power. It has power. I do not like when reality skips a step.
Ensign Asami
reality skipping steps is my favorite genre, keep us posted nerd
Sergeant Yuki
first live drone contact and I already lost count past six. is that normal.
Lieutenant Nakamura
Normal is a floor two problem, Sergeant. Survive floor one first.

After floor 2· beat 3

Ensign Yusuke
Revised whiteboard math: whoever wired this place had a maintenance budget nobody signed off on. That is not a scrapyard number.
Major Kenji
Keep the math to yourself until we are out, Ensign.
