CAMPAIGN STORY
Mecha Hearts
Two empires clash, and two pilots find themselves at the center of a war that will change the galaxy.
- Chapter 1: Scavenger Hunt
Phoenix Squad moves through an abandoned foundry, hunting scavenger drones and discovering remnants of an unknown, sophisticated technology.
- Chapter 2: Brother's Burden
In the Aurora Kingdom, Lieutenant Hikari argues against her younger brother Kaito's premature deployment to the front lines.
- Chapter 3: The First Encounter
In a ruined city, Akira and Hikari, ace pilots of opposing nations, engage in a tense, strategic duel, testing each other's limits.
- Chapter 4: Echoes of Treason
After a brutal ambush, both Akira and Hikari face suspicion from their own commands, who refuse to acknowledge the new threat.
- Chapter 5: Aurora's Gilded Cage
Forced to participate in a hollow propaganda parade, Hikari feels the weight of her nation's lies and her secret alliance with Akira.
- Chapter 6: Whispers of the Forgotten
Akira pushes the Ryujin to its limits in a simulation, the strain causing his dangerous "spark" to flare, revealing its toll.
- Chapter 7: The Unholy Ground
Phoenix Squad is ordered into a third frontal assault on the formidable Fort Delta - a fortress that has already chewed through two divisions before them.
- Chapter 8: The Sunder of Souls
Aurora and Horizon collide again at Fort Delta - and this time, Hikari isn't fighting alone. Her mentor Lt. Taro has his own plan for how this siege ends.
- Chapter 9: Interlude: The Great Frog Crate Incident
A quiet supply depot turns out to be infested with Frog Crates - spring-loaded loot pods that grew legs, feelings, and an attitude. For one afternoon, Phoenix Squad gets to fight something that can't actually hurt them.
- Chapter 10: Ashes and Accusations
In the aftermath of the disastrous Fort Delta campaign, both Akira and Hikari are blamed by their commands, further cementing their secret alliance.
- Chapter 11: The Hangar Ballad
On administrative leave, Akira finds a moment of unexpected peace watching Ensign Asami's joyful, defiant dance in the hangar.
- Chapter 12: The Naval Gambit
A massive naval battle erupts at Aurora Harbor. Veteran pilot Lt. Yamamoto has been quiet all briefing - and everyone's about to find out why.
- Chapter 13: Whispers of the Third Path
Akira and Hikari exchange intel on the Red Wolves and their own deteriorating physical and mental states, leading them to the reclusive Professor Fujimoto.
- Chapter 14: The Calm Before the Storm
At a fragile peace conference, Asami gives a heartfelt performance. Akira and Hikari share a dance, a silent truce that culminates in a desperate kiss.
- Chapter 15: When the Music Died
The Red Wolves shatter the fragile peace conference mid-performance. In the chaos, Hikari loses sight of everyone she came here to protect.
- Chapter 16: Forging the Treacherous Bond
Publicly blaming each other for the Citadel attack, Akira and Hikari secretly establish a new, deeper line of communication to find the truth.
- Chapter 17: The Architect's Guilt
Professor Fujimoto finally agrees to talk - and what he's spent years trying to forget may explain everything happening to Akira, and to Kaito.
- Chapter 18: The Ghost's Shadow
Pursuing their first mission together, Akira and Hikari are ambushed by a silent, perfect prototype—a ghost they cannot defeat.
- Chapter 19: Unmasking the Puppeteer
In a daring stealth mission, the team captures the Red Wolves' strategist, Kingu - and gets far more than the intel they came for.
- Chapter 20: Cracks in the Facade
The intel pulled from Kingu doesn't add up - and the deeper Akira and Hikari dig, the less either side's official story survives contact with the truth.
- Chapter 21: The Great Betrayal
A tip from inside Phoenix Squad leads Akira, Hikari, and Kenji straight into an ambush - and straight into being branded traitors by the allies they trusted.
- Chapter 22: Revelation and Despair
Hiding in the ruins, Fujimoto finally tells them everything he knows about the Ghost, and about what Akira was always meant to become. Neither of them walks away from that conversation the same.
- Chapter 23: The Struggle for Sanity
Hunted by the Oni-Kaito, Hikari must appeal to her brother's lost humanity while Akira fights the final activation of the Apex protocol in his own mind.
- Chapter 24: Sacrifice and Echoes
Hikari makes one last attempt to reach the brother buried inside the Ghost. Whatever happens next, the Oni Program's command vessel will not survive it.
- Chapter 25: The Point of No Return
With their enemies closing in, the team makes a final, agonizing decision: to deploy Fujimoto's EMP, a choice that will silence all machines.
- Chapter 26: The Mirror's Shattering
The EMP fails to stop Tiamat's modified Bahamut. Akira must consciously use the Apex conditioning, embracing the monster within to win.
- Chapter 27: The Storm of Revelation
The final push. The team fights their way to the Aetherium Conduit to deploy the EMP, with the Red Wolves leader Matsuo standing in their way.
- Chapter 28: The Silent Fall
To end this, Akira has to go further into the Apex protocol than anyone ever has - and there's no guarantee of what comes back out.
