Mission start· beat 1
- Lieutenant Yamamoto
- Aurora Harbor. I did my first tour here, twenty years ago. Prettiest water in the sector — you'd never know from up here today.
- PILOT
- You've been quiet all briefing, Yamamoto. What aren't you saying?
- Lieutenant Yamamoto
- That I left a family behind to fly these things, and I never once told them why. Old men get talkative before big battles. Ignore me.
- Major Kenji
- Enemy fleet on the horizon. All wings — this one's going to hurt. Fly like your wingman's life depends on it, because it does.
After floor 8· beat 2
- Lieutenant Yamamoto
- STATIC: —missile spread's through, I'm the only angle. Kenji, tell my daughter... tell her the money was never the reason. The reason was she gets to grow old.
- Major Kenji
- Yamamoto, break off. BREAK OFF. That's an order—
- Lieutenant Yamamoto
- STATIC: First order I ever ignored. Been an honor, Phoenix.
- Major Kenji
- ...
- PILOT
- ...Impact confirmed. The carrier's gone. He took it with him.
- Major Kenji
- Log it. Then fly. We mourn on the ground — that's the deal. That's always been the deal.

Mission start· beat 1
- Lieutenant Yamamoto
- Aurora Harbor. First tour I ever flew was right here, twenty years back. Funny what stays the same and what does not.
- Sergeant Yuki
- twenty years, sir? were the fish worth writing home about at least
- Lieutenant Yamamoto
- Never once caught one. Kept going back anyway. That is most of what you need to know about me, Sergeant.
- Ensign Asami
- when this is over we are all going fishing and NOBODY is allowed to bring a rifle
After floor 2· beat 2
- Sergeant Yuki
- is it me or did Lieutenant Yamamoto sound like he was saying goodbye back there
- Ensign Asami
- do not think like that yuki. he is a twenty year veteran, he has said goodbye a hundred times and come back a hundred times
After floor 4· beat 3
- Lieutenant Nakamura
- Carrier signature just dropped off every board at once. I have no readout for what that means and I am not going to guess on an open channel.
