Mission start· beat 1
- Major Kenji
- Kingu. The Red Wolves' pet strategist. Every ambush that's bled us for two years has his fingerprints on the timing.
- PILOT
- Mine complex, skeleton garrison, one very smug target in the command module. It's almost too clean.
- Major Kenji
- It's exactly too clean. Which is why you're going in quiet and I'm staying loud out here. Anything smells wrong, you abort. Kid — I mean it.
- Lieutenant Akira
- Everything about this war smells wrong, Major. Quiet as we can. Let's meet the puppeteer.
After floor 11· beat 2
- Matsuo
- BROADCAST: Congratulations on capturing my strategist! One small detail: Kingu has been ours AND yours the entire time. Check your own command frequencies — they already know where you sleep.
- Lieutenant Hikari
- A double agent. He let us take him. The capture WAS the message.
- PILOT
- So both our commands now have proof the two of you are working together. That was the trap. Not the mine — the truth.
- Matsuo
- BROADCAST: The mercenary understands! I like that one. Run along, little heroes. The interesting part starts now.
- Lieutenant Hikari
- Wait — before you cut the channel. Why any of this? Why the Wolves?
- Matsuo
- BROADCAST: ...You want the speech? Fine, heiress. Once. I was born in a border district both empires claimed on paper and starved in practice. Zero schools, zero clinics, two tax collectors arguing over which crown owed my mother medicine. Both said the other. Both were right. That is the punchline of your entire system — everyone is responsible, so no one is.
- Matsuo
- BROADCAST: So I built something that does not argue jurisdiction. The Wolves do not ask which flag starved you. We just make the ones who did it go a little hungry too, and we sign our own name to the hunger.
- PILOT
- That's not government, Matsuo. That's a body count with a flag stapled to it.
- Matsuo
- BROADCAST: Every government is, mercenary. You want the real difference between my empire and theirs? Mine tells you exactly whose blood built it. Go look at your own banners, little heroes, and tell me yours has the courage to do the same.

- Sergeant Yuki
- the mine schematics list a wine cellar. a WINE CELLAR. in a forward operating base. who is this strategist
- Lieutenant Nakamura
- A man who has never once expected to be raided, Sergeant. Which is either confidence or information. Assume the second.
After floor 4· beat 2
- Lieutenant Nakamura
- Garrison was lighter than intel projected. Either our numbers were wrong or someone wanted us to get this far easily.
- Sergeant Yuki
- when has this war ever handed us anything easily. keep your guns warm.
