- Lieutenant Nakamura
- Before the briefing — the freed Oni transports finished decrypting overnight. Subject H-117, recovered alive: Ensign Yusuke, Phoenix Squad. He's thin, he's half-starved... and he's asking for his whiteboard.
- Ensign Yusuke
- STATIC: This channel still open? Somebody tell the Major the odds of me making this call were terrible. I made it anyway. Turns out that's kind of my thing.
- Major Kenji
- ...Yusuke. You held that breach. We wrote the report. We MOURNED you, kid.
- Ensign Yusuke
- Aurora pulled me out of the wreck before the fire finished the job. I spent a year as spare parts for the Oni program — then every cell door on that ship opened at once. Kaito's doing. I owe a dead kid a debt I can't pay back, so I'm here to pay it forward. Put me on the roster, Major.
- Professor Fujimoto
- The EMP is finished. One pulse through the Aetherium Conduit and every neural-linked machine in the sector goes silent. Forever. Including... everything you fly.
- Major Kenji
- You're asking career pilots to kill every machine they've ever loved. Including the ones keeping us alive right now.
- PILOT
- He's asking us to end the war, Kenji. All of it. The programs, the Wolves, the managed slaughter — no machines, no Warmachine war.
- Lieutenant Akira
- And no Apex protocol. No more children built into weapons. I vote yes.
- Lieutenant Hikari
- For Kaito. For Asami. For Taro. Yes. May the gods forgive us — the historians certainly won't.
After floor 14· beat 2
- Major Kenji
- Supplies secured, route to the Conduit mapped. Last chance to walk away, kid. Nobody would blame a mercenary for skipping the apocalypse.
- PILOT
- You're the only family I've got left in this galaxy, Major. Somebody has to fly rear cover for the end of the world.
- Major Kenji
- Ha. Yusuke used to say that. All right, Phoenix Squad — final approach starts at dawn. Get some sleep. Tomorrow we make history or we make craters.

Mission start· beat 1
- Lieutenant Nakamura
- Decrypted manifests from the freed Oni transports finished processing overnight. Subject H-117, recovered alive: Ensign Yusuke, Phoenix Squad. I have read the line forty times. It does not stop being true.
- Sergeant Yuki
- WHAT
- Ensign Yusuke
- Hi, everyone. Reports of my death were... statistically reasonable, honestly. I would have believed them too.
- Sergeant Yuki
- I called your signal for an HOUR, yusuke. an HOUR. you are never allowed to go dark again. squad rule. new charter. I am drafting it
- Ensign Yusuke
- Accepted without reading the terms. Also: someone kept my whiteboard theory alive while I was gone. I noticed. Thank you. You know who you are.
After floor 3· beat 2
- Sergeant Yuki
- last chance to walk away, Kenji said. nobody on this channel is walking away. just so that is on the record.
- Ensign Yusuke
- Recorded. I spent a year in a cell the size of a cockpit because this war needed spare parts. There was never a version of me that walks away from ending it.
After floor 7· beat 3
- Lieutenant Nakamura
- A back-channel offer reached Fujimoto's relay overnight - unsigned help evacuating the outposts before the EMP fires. Same handle again: "{{RIVAL_NAME}}".
- Professor Fujimoto
- I did not ask. I do not care. Send them every evacuation route we have.
