Mission start· beat 1

Lieutenant Taro
Hold formation, Hikari. Fort Delta doesn't fall to anger. It falls to patience — mine's older than yours.
Lieutenant Hikari
Patience is what got the last wave killed, old man. We punch through the western casements or we die in the queue like everyone else.
Lieutenant Taro
Ha! There's the student I trained. Fine — your plan, my lead. And if it goes wrong, you fly home and you don't look back. Swear it.
Lieutenant Hikari
...I swear it. Don't make me keep it.

Lieutenant Hikari
TARO! No no no — eject, EJECT—
Lieutenant Taro
STATIC: ...frame's done, kid. Reactor's holding just long enough. You taught an old man to hope again. Now keep your damn promise.
Lieutenant Hikari
...
PILOT
Hikari. He's gone. He bought us the corridor — don't waste it. Fly.
Lieutenant Hikari
...Logging final valor citation: Lieutenant Taro, shield of Aurora. I'll keep the promise, old man. I hate you for making me.

Sergeant Sakura
Lieutenant Taro says patience. Lieutenant Hikari says patience got the last wave killed. I say both of you pick a plan before I do it for you.
PILOT
For what it is worth, Sakura, they usually land on something workable by the third argument.
Sergeant Sakura
this IS the third argument

Major Kenji
Friendly fire incident on the eastern flank. Sgt. Kim is not responding.
Ensign Asami
kenji that grid was OURS, how does friendly fire happen on OUR grid
Major Kenji
I am pulling the logs myself, Ensign. Nobody speculates until I have an answer.
Lieutenant Nakamura
A coordinate error at that range is a one-in-thousands event, Major. Check the relay chain, not just the gunner. Yusuke would have said the same thing.

After floor 6· beat 3

Sergeant Sakura
The western casements are quiet now. Whatever happened up there, Lieutenant Hikari is not answering hails.
Ensign Asami
give her time sakura. some things you do not push.
