Mission start· beat 1
- Lieutenant Nakamura
- Requisition Depot Theta-Nine stopped answering hails. Thermal's picking up multiple contacts — bipedal, low mass, barely worth flagging as a threat. And the gait pattern... my board keeps calling it 'hopping.'
- Major Kenji
- Hopping. Command is scrambling Phoenix Squad after something that hops.
- Ensign Asami
- Major, look at the feed! Those are SUPPLY CRATES! With little legs! And the lid-flip they keep doing is one hundred percent sass!
- Sergeant Yuki
- I haven't laughed at a briefing in weeks. I'll take this fight. I want the sassy one.
- PILOT
- For the record: strangest sentence I've ever said in this cockpit. We're deploying against loot crates. Let's go meet the Frog Crates.
After floor 3· beat 2
- Ensign Asami
- Lieutenant, you've been staring at that one for two whole minutes. He's not going to combo you. I checked. He mostly headbutts ankles.
- Lieutenant Akira
- He keeps trying to close his own lid and hide inside it. Backwards logic. I respect it. ...I'm calling him Norio.
- Major Kenji
- Focus, Lieutenant. Also — did you just name a hostile combatant Norio?
- Lieutenant Akira
- He looked like a Norio. Yusuke would have named him something worse.
After floor 5· beat 3
- Major Kenji
- Depot's secured. No casualties, no meaningful property damage, and one Frog Crate currently welded to Lieutenant Akira's boot.
- Lieutenant Akira
- Norio is coming with us. That's not a request.
- Ensign Asami
- The terror of two empires, smuggling a loot crate onto a Horizon warship. I am framing this memory forever.
- Sergeant Yuki
- Thank you for this, Major. I needed a day where nothing we loved got hurt.
- Major Kenji
- Enjoy it while it lasts, Phoenix. Command's already forwarding the Fort Delta inquiry transcripts. Tomorrow we go back to being blamed for surviving. Today, we had a good day.
