Mission dialogue · 9 lines
Mission start· beat 1
- Chief Engineer Elena
- Colony Perimeter Six stopped transmitting nine days ago. No distress call, no static, nothing. Just... silence.
- PILOT
- And Command's sending one pilot to check it out?
- Chief Engineer Elena
- Command's sending you because your name's the only one in the roster nobody will miss if this goes badly. Charming, I know. Move fast, report everything.
After floor 5· beat 2
- Chief Engineer Elena
- I'm picking up a survivor beacon. One signature, faint, hostile. Approach with extreme caution — or don't approach at all, that's also an option I fully endorse.
- PILOT
- Not really my style, Elena.
After floor 10· beat 3
- Jane Doe
- Don't. Come. Closer. ...Wait. You're not one of them. You're not — corrupted.
- PILOT
- No. I'm here to get you out.
- Jane Doe
- Everyone who said that to me is dead. But fine. Lead the way, ghost. Let's see if you're different.
- Chief Engineer Elena
- A survivor. Gods, a real survivor. Get her home — and get every scrap of data on what did this to her colony.
Squad comms · 9 lines
Mission start· beat 1
- Chief Engineer Elena
- Welcome to the Aegis Initiative. Short version: something is eating the frontier colonies from the inside and command keeps calling it "an outbreak".
- PILOT
- And the long version?
- Chief Engineer Elena
- The long version is why you have a flamethrower budget.
- Jane Doe
- It is not an outbreak. Outbreaks spread. This thing REBUILDS. Burn anything that moves wrong.
After floor 4· beat 2
- PILOT
- Confirmed contact. It is welding scrap to itself mid-fight. Making itself new arms out of the units we down.
- Chief Engineer Elena
- Then stop leaving it parts. Full slag protocol. Nothing recoverable.
After floor 8· beat 3
- Jane Doe
- You held the line better than the last three squads. They are all dead, so the bar was low. But still.
- PILOT
- Jane, has anyone ever told you your pep talks need work?
- Jane Doe
- Everyone who has is dead. Correlation unclear.
