Mission start· beat 1
- Chief Engineer Elena
- Warlord Grak of the Rustfang Clans — officially our ally — has been scavenging CORRUPTED wreckage and bolting it onto his war frames. What could possibly go wrong.
- Jane Doe
- Is he insane? You don't wear the plague as ARMOR.
- PILOT
- He's not insane, he's greedy. Corrupted plating self-repairs. To a scrap baron that's a fortune with teeth.
- Chief Engineer Elena
- Teeth is right — three of his own camps have already gone dark. Intercept him before his 'fortune' finishes eating the entire sector flank.

This conversation uses an older floor number than the current mission length. It is included here for story reference; its original timing may differ from your playthrough.
- Jane Doe
- Grak's camp is ash and his 'upgraded' frames are down. He had the nerve to spit at me and call US the thieves.
- PILOT
- He'll live. His clan pulled him out screaming about honor debts. That firebrand lance of his, though — that stays with us.
- Chief Engineer Elena
- Silver lining: his madness proved corrupted alloy CAN be stabilized. I hate that he was onto something. I need a shower and a decade of ethics seminars.

Mission start· beat 1
- Chief Engineer Elena
- Scrapline Flats today. The Corruption got into a salvage yard the size of a city. Every wreck in there is potential enemy reinforcement.
- PILOT
- A million tons of spare parts for the thing that builds itself out of spare parts. Whose idea was stockpiling this?
- Chief Engineer Elena
- Mine, four years ago, and I will be apologizing for it the entire mission.
- Jane Doe
- Rust and ruin. Feels like home. Stay off the crane rails - they remember weight.
After floor 8· beat 2
- Jane Doe
- It built a LEVIATHAN out of my old colony's transport hulls. I recognize the registry numbers. It is wearing my home.
- PILOT
- Then let us take it off. Every panel, Jane. On me.
