Mission start· beat 1
- "Nail"
- Scanners are reading... hostile crates? Kid, I've fought pirates, Wolves, a guy who screamed at his own reactor. I have never once had to fight FURNITURE.
- PILOT
- They're not furniture. They've got legs.
- "Nail"
- That is somehow worse! Look at it. It's HOPPING. It's got little eyes. I refuse to be intimidated by a hop.
- PILOT
- Valerius's old supply grotto — abandoned, apparently reclaimed by... whatever these are. Loot's still sitting in the boxes, though.
- "Nail"
- Then today, for once, nobody's trying to kill us for a good reason. I'm going to enjoy every second of this. Try to keep up — they're springier than they look.
After floor 2· beat 2
- "Nail"
- Hot take: I used to run a crate-jacking crew before I went legit-ish. First job, a mis-rigged spring latch broke two of my fingers. So this? This is personal.
- PILOT
- You're settling a decade-old grudge against a species of loot crate.
- "Nail"
- I contain multitudes, kid. Also, this one's looking at me funny. I don't like it. I love it. I don't like that I love it.
After floor 4· beat 3
- "Nail"
- Grotto's clear, salvage is ours, and — kid, don't look at my cockpit.
- PILOT
- Nail. Is that a live one strapped to your dash.
- "Nail"
- 'Strapped' is a strong word. 'Adopted' is the word. His name is Ledger. He startles when I brake. Happiest I've felt all campaign.
- PILOT
- Cygnus factory telemetry just came in. Back to work tomorrow.
- "Nail"
- Don't ruin this for me. Let a mercenary have one good day, kid. Ledger and I earned it.
